It's time to use PHP5!

Hi everybody,

I notice that a lot of news served by our news bot are very interesting. Some month before Nick removed the news threads from the unread topics list. I think this was a good idea for people which are not every day on this forum.  The list would be very long after a few days and the important threads will not be read (maybe).

I think an option (on the profile page) to switch the news inside the unread list on/off could be an option...

Just subscribing to the new forum is maybe another option but inside the mails are only the titles from each thread.

what do you think as a webdigity member?

Right now you can use the feed of this forum ( http://www.webdigity.com/rss.php?cat=63 Visit through proxy ) or subscribe to the forum as you allready mentioned Olaf.

I think this profile is a good one. Maybe I should code this after all, but before I would like to know what the rest members think Smiley

I've just placed a news bot on my website (sorry Nick it's not yours) but my idea was to just add news topics (headlines) every week for so long until the number of registered users has got to a point and where they were posting new topics then the news bot will not needed to post into some of the boards. Instead, maybe, to post news into a special board just for news.

It's my idea that I was going down the line of.

Two options maybe,

Unread Messages - Leave as is, but if a news item has responses it gets upgraded to "regular" message status

Have a second one-click option to read the new news items. That way when I had time I could also look at that otherwise I would still only see the messages by people.
