It's time to use PHP5!

« on: Nov 30, 2006, 01:33:23 pm »

Hi,

I'm using the keyword tool from google adwords to select the top keyword which I gonna use in a website.

I like to have the top keyword with the highest search volume at google.

Actually the last one is difficult, any idea how to get the top (used) keywords used on google?

Just realized that the site has become register basis.

Before some time it was easier to check keywords.

I have heard so many people swear by these things. I have my doubts.

One of my best keywords, does not come up as popular. On a check of Yahoo with their Overture tool, I checked for a keyword that I knew had searches the prior month as I had hits from it and did a few searches of my own. Yahoo said their were none.

The same keywords came up poorly (zero hits) in a couple of the other tools as well.

Personally, I never start off trying to get the biggest hitting keyword or phrase - everyone else is trying for that one too. I go down the list a bit and go after some of those. Once I start ranking and getting traffic for the lesser words and phrases and G and the others now recognize my site is on that topic, I begin going after the more popular ones. Seems like this works better for me.

you're right I'm using this not only for SEO but also for adwords (since the quality of the landing page is important for the price, ext. info)

At the moment I use some keywords related to the product and ask for all related searches with highest search volume. Next I check with which keyword I ahev the chance to get high in the serps. And these are keywords I use for optimization. But of course I like to know the top search terms

Certainly knowing the ultimate goal (the $$$ keywords) is a must. I just have come to believe the tools only give a general guide and perhaps the true $$$ keywords don't even make the list.

As far as I know, there are no limits but there are features which are exclusive for premium customers. But, those features are too much advanced and are not used that much by normal webmasters. I can tell you that it is an incredible software and my good friend in my SEO progress.
