Hello,

on the page IP addresses is the possibility to change the "Reverse lookup" for each IP address.

what is the meaning of that? is this the default page you show up of a website does not exists?

Reverse lookup returns the domain name(s) for an IP address. A normal lookup returns the IP address for a domain name.

Will say I can enter a domain name I like or I want to show upon request of the IP address?

You should put the domains you are hosting in there. I think you should be able to put more than one domain in there.

Wait a sec Smiley

First of all, congrats for your new server, and welcome to the admin world Wink

The reverse IP is required if you are going to use this server as a mail server. Because email that comes from servers with no reverse ip entries is automatically junked by most mail servers.

So you need a reverse ip entry only for the ip that you are about to host the mail server. In any way this should be a work for your hosting provider, and then you need to arrange it also in your DNS server, but I guess this will be an automated process from the control panel you are using.

first the server needs one day more I think... (it will be my sinterklaas gift (sinterklaas is the dutch st. Nikolas Cheesy) sorry Nick hehe

about the IP address, I think I will leave it as it is at the moment, hehe
