After trying several article sites, I am now starting a site with 100% original content. It is hard to get a lot of original content, but I think it will be valued by the visitors. My new website will become a collection of php scripts that are free to use and each come with a complete tutorial on how the script was made.
I've just put up the first tutorial and I'm working on some others. Have a look at www.phpinclude.net Visit through proxy and let me know what you think!

Smiley Hey, not a bad site you have there. Does need more scripts of course. The counter script will be a good script to start with. I also like the way it refreshes to check to see how many visitors are online viewing the site.

I'm working on more scripts to put on. I have a few, but have to write tutorials for them.

I think you should also put some work on the design too.

The logo is nice, but the site needs some more work.

I think you should think about the links you're using, at the moment the SE need to go through more then 5 level to index all pages of an tutorial.

That's indeed significant. Maybe you should have in the bottom of each tutorial page links to all the pages.

I wanted to keep the design simple. This site is all about the content...

I think my site has a simple design too, what do you think Nico?

I thinks its not about design as for other sites but I think resources should not look like phpclasses.org or some other big resource sites (not that your design is so bad as the one from phpclasses, Oh shit I remember I'm one of the biggest friends of phpclasses Cheesy)

Yes, phpclasses.org has a terrible design! Maybe I'll round of some corners on my site. But first I have to get some more tutorials on there. I'm working on a banner script tutorial right now.

I think it would be better if you used a modified blog for this, having also a blog style design.

- Just throwing an idea - Smiley

I don't agree, I planned to use WP for articles but currently its suxxs with parsing php code. A custom website is much better for this kind of content.

but sure use a blog style layout...and you need a comment section (or start discussions at webdigity)

I know I won't beat your refferal count. I know how hard it is to start a forum, but I think a forum is a nice addition to the site to have people discuss the tutorials. So instead of adding a forum to the site, I think I'll just make Nick happy by sending them here.
