Just read in the top rank blog a very interesting statement that click fraud is being used to fund terrorist organizations as well as organized crime.
That sounds a little funny - I can't imagine a terrorist sitting in front of a pc, doing fraud clicks for the shake of the Jihad - but it is very reasonable to be true.
Plus the way that the most ppc engines pay their referals make their "job" easier.
What do you think? Anyone heared something like that before?

Nik, theres something similar here in my country, the Philippines.
rumors has it that software, audio and video piracy is also used to fund the terroristic activities here.
after all, they are technically savvy, too and are very much knowledgeable about computer-related stuff. if they dont do it themselves, they hire someone to do it, without that person knowing that they are working for a terrorist organization.

I think that terrorists can't exist anymore with computer technologies, otherwise they act like some old fashioned cowboys

I think sometimes that Government departments make up this kind of propoganda in order to get people to inform on the people that are doing the illegal activity.
Recently I have read about copied compact discs and dvd's that are supposed to be funding criminal gangs, much of this is nonsense and thee goverment are trying to get people to-
1. stop buying counterfeit goods. 2. Inform on the people that are selling the counterfeit goods.
I know several people that sell these kinds of items and they are not in any gangs and do not fund terrorism or anything, that is all nonsense.
