I'm working on a new website where the members can create pages to promote their own sites and services and can meet people with similar interests. It will be sort of a combination of myspace and squidoo

The basic signup and create pages is working, have a look at myramid.net and let me know your thoughts!

I don't like two things, the fonts and the top buttons.

For the buttons I am not sure what it should be, as for the font, I think you should use a more web 2.0ish font (eg. Georgia) and maybe make the letters a little bit bigger.

I've just tried changing the font to Georgia, but I think it doesn't look good at all, so I have changed it back again...

Nice job!

I like the site and joined as 'michele'. One of the perks of being an early joiner is getting a cool name - my own. Wink

I wish you great success as I see this as a site with great potential.

How do you plan on handling the spammers? Seems like once the site gets more popular, you're going to spend a great deal of time deleting a bunch of obnoxious pages.

I just noticed your sign up, good to have you aboard!

For the spammers, I think I have to check new posts against a list of spam words to put the pages in some review state or something. I also plan to add a 'report this page' link so users can notify me.

I'm glad you like it! There will be more options added soon, I'm currently working on tag-browsing and I have some more ideas to implement.
