Covering Microsoft Speech Server and Agent technology in depth, this book provides a different slant on the process of building Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. Chapter 8, "Building an Agent," walks you through the process of creating a set of cooperative intelligent agents that monitor changes to and serve content from a central file directory, using the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) to download files to the clients.
