Vbulletin gurus !! HELP!

How do i add more options for checkbox rather than 32 ?

You may only specify up to 32 options for checkbox or select_multiple input types. You entered 105 options for this field.

How can i enhance the number of options ? And i was told at vbulletin board said You cannot. It's a database level restriction - the field is an 32 bit integer, so 32 is the limit.

Is that true ? Any other solution ?

I really don't know vB, but if this is a database restriction, then you should propably search for a mod, but you must be carefull as this would propably produce overhead.

I mean that the server will run slower when you'll install this.

Of course I am not sure if this will happen, but propably this is the reason that they designed it this way

I see.. but the problem is that i cant even find a mod for it now .. I'm going to launch a forum for girls and it's about fashion, makeups, body care. I want they choose what's their favorite brand when register... i think that would be cool but never thought it cant be done with vBulletin . Actually the powerful and colorful feature is the reason i buy vbulletin.  =(

Maybe you should try code it your self

I code all of my mods, even when there is one for what I need with less feautures that I imagine.

I would really love to, but at this moment I have a very very big project in process, that I don't have time to make my own coding....

If you want to pay for this, maybe you should post to the hire people area of the site, there are some good php programmers in the board that will be able to help you.

I am not sure, because I haven't look at the code of this project. I suppose it won't be so much trouble if someone make it custom made just for the thing that you want it for.

As this feauture is only for the newly registered members, it will be easy. The programmer should make a new field in the members database of type SET which will have the options you want. The he/she should code the register page, and the display page + the profile page of the layout. So you could do that for about 20$ or so.
