Tell us about your bad and good hosting experiences.

All my bad hosting experiences come from those free web hosting services that all eventually went down because lack of planning. While they were "up," the support was bad, the uptime was not great, and the server lagged because of overselling.

I haven't had much hosting experiences at all after those until now that i am being hosted for free by a friend of mine

It is true (not only for hosting) that you get what you give....

As for the rest I think I have a variety of bad hosting experiences.

One example is that I use to host with hostsave for 1 year, and they keep charging my credit card for about 3 years!!! They really suck.

Another bad experience is explained here

As for now I plan to buy a dedicated server soon, and I hope that this will be my first good hosting experience...

I have a shared hosting account on http://redz.us
they are great, great uptime, great support and great everything.
I once bought a vps on godaddy and i loved it but then i needed cpanel and it was not in my budget so i had a bad experience with them and i did not get my money back for those 2 days that i was with them.
