About xHTML check this : http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/#xhtml Visit through proxy

xhtml is much faster than css with html. The site loads much faster, and it is more search engine friendly

i have heard that is it more search engine friendly.. but do you think that with so many different types of code to choose from it will cause problems in the future?

The only browser that under certain circumstances it won't work with is IE, because IE = crap. Even then, XHTML usually works with IE, and always works with decent browsers.
