Ok it is time for a poll for the adsense junkies Smiley

So how much do you earn for every 1000 impressions that you serve through the adsense program?

Mine is around $2 and I think it is low, but pretty reasonable as most of my sites have more "technology educated" visitors.

$ 2.7 for content and $2.8 for the search

based on earnings since the begin of the year, I noticed that this number was lower last year

For this year the average is is just over $10, still on the rise (jan avg. was just over $9 and feb avg so far is a few cents over $12)

The average is mainly bumbed up by the proxy sites, my other sites make between $1 and $4 CPM

$10 is really good. In that case it is very easy to create some good ROI.

I mean you can even use ppc to acquire traffic and make more money of those site. I think you should try that Wink

With Christmas time and my site naturally peaking on it's own momentum and it temporarily being down hard -  I can't really accurately determine my revenue.

But, your numbers give me hope that I am on the right track.

You take such lovely pictures Nick, maybe make a travel to Greece site - the non-tech niches seem to do so much better click-wise.

my sites are diverse. article sites, herbal remedies, fengshui, penpal site, astrology, etc. and traffic coming mostly from the US thru google search.

the cpm is the average for all sites combined. if you have a high ctr, then your cpm goes up. and i have a high ctr too.

I'm in the $2-5 range for my business site...that was before the redesign.

I just hope the redesign and regulation of ads to the forums improves the CPM.

sorry, but you can't translate the design into a higher CPM only the CTR is related to the websites layput (better ad placements = more clicks). The CPM in you case will only get higher if advertisers choose you site and bid a very high price.
