Thats a very high price for a domain name. Nowadays domains names don't go for much more then the registration fee, unless you are getting quite an amount of type-in traffic. Without any traffic you would be lucky if you can get $25 for the domain.

Lucky you! I guess theres some people that think its worth the price, like yourcompanyname.com You just have to get lucky and register the right ones.
I usually work the other way around, when making a new website the first step is to come up with a name that is still available as a domain. If the name I come up with is taken I keep on thinking up other names until I find one that has not been registered as a domain instead of paying over $100 to some domain broker.
