Mybloglog seems to be going through a really rough time and has now started banning users who have worked methods to game their system after encouraging them shoemoney post

I can't believe any site that collects private info doesn't have a TOS, and how can you ban a person for breaking a non existant TOS?

I have been playing with mybloglog since it was put up on webdigity, but I'm not sure I wish to continue, what do you guys think?

That is very strange, and not really good for a team of people who want to call themselves "company".

Personally I am not going to stop the mybloglog experiment, but I already have a bad opinion on them.

Well the backlash has started http://www.marketingpilgrim.com/2007/02/boycotting-mybloglog.html
at least 2 major bloggers are now boycotting mybloglog, at least until it puts up a TOS the blogers are Andy Beal  (marketing pilgrim) and Michael grey (wolf-howl), I guess the major A listers will follow

And things go from bad to worse
http://www.shoemoney.com/2007/02/23/mybloglog-tracks-your-visitors-ad-clicks/

Why does yahoo let this happen? they surely realise they are opening themselves up for a serious legal battle.

yes I saw that and I must say I like to have the information how often people click my ads, I can't see there the problem (but the author is right there should be a switch to turn this off)

My understanding is you don't get to see the info unless you have a pro account, so why are they collecting it for all accounts.

Shoemoney's picture is now featured on our Members page, we unbanned his IP address, and we at MyBlogLog hope to return to the constructive dialog that we once had.  Like others who have apologized for their contribution to this controversy, we believe in redemption and hope ShoeMoney does as well.
