It looks like I haven't introduced myself fully yet here. Embarrassed Well, it's time I fixed that, with sponsoring a contest and supporting the community and all...

My real name is Nathan, but you can call me WhiteEagle or BrownSparrow (my Skype nickname Cool ). I am the CEO/President of Joffee Publishing Inc., which is a electronic publishing company which is 100% on the net. I founded the company in September of 2006, and you can learn more at the website.

I also work for the local McDonalds in Camrose, Alberta, even though I live on a acreage outside of town. I am ranked as Crew at my job, and you can usually find me working either on Cash & Orders in Drive-Through or on Window (a till). My favorite position is working in the kitchen, but I rarely get to work in there Cry .

I try and publish new posts on my blog every day, but occasionally I get side-tracked by either work, schoolwork, or by being just too tired and wanting to go to bed. I usually post about what went on that day, or about what my company is up to. I also love to post about jokes that I've created at work and people have found to be funny. So far, no one outside of work has laughed at them Cry .

I guess this is good enough for an introduction,
Nathan

Hey, I'm good in the McDonalds' kitchen! Tongue

Seriously, the reason I don't go in kitchen that much is because I'm ranked #1 on drive-through and window. Cheesy

is it that your super dont assign you to kitchen duties is because your always eating the fries when no one is looking? okey now admit the truth. we wont tell anyone. (just kidding) LOL

Nathan i think your very young, probably in your early 20s. am i right? well, earning on the net is difficult and sometimes frustrating esp. when you are just getting started. my first paycheck from LinkShare was just for $10. but i didnt encash it, i framed! it was my inspiration back then. if i can earn $10, i can earn a $100, or a $1000! just dont give up and keep on learning!

* WhiteEagle give up? Not likely!

In fact I'm launching a not-for-profit site called ChristNet today. I'll post the address after everything is ready for viewing. I'm going to use Joomla for it, as a test for my business site.

so what happened to your site? is the design final already? thats it? i viewed it yesterday and i still noticed some bad points about it. i will just add it here since you deleted your topic on website review.

i went to the products page from your homepage and the look is entirely different. and when im there, i cant go back to the homepage. there are no navigation links to the other pages of your site. i was stuck there. same with the forum. an entirely different look, plus no link to your other pages.

buyers want to entrust their money to someone theyre confident will not just run-off with it, esp. on the net where they cant see the real person theyre giving it to. and your company is a new one, probably they havent heard of before. at least you should project a trustworthy and professional look to them, esp. from your homepage which is the first thing that they would see. a positive first impression is vital to completing a sale. and thats not what your site gave me when i visited your site. dont just settle for free templates. it is not professional. since you are already investing at this point, why not invest on a good template design. there are many people here who are good at it.

i have no experience with them. does Joomla/vBulletin have nice templates? can you customize the look of your store and your forum so it would be the same with Joomla/vBulletin. it has to be continues wherever you go. if not totally, atleast the colors should be the same.

t thought you already found someone here who would do it for you? didnt work out?

Joomla has an e-commerce plugin. It's working out so far. I'm waiting for an answer...again.

* WhiteEagle tried Joomla on ChristNet, and has decided to just worry about figuring out how to add home page links and customization.

* WhiteEagle wonders how much a logo designer would cost around here...

ok if you think Joomla will do it for you. atleast the templates available are more professional looking (i hope). just remember that the colors have to be the same for the e-commerce, forum, homepage, etc. dont make it look like your user is taken to another site when one of your links is clicked. think continuity of design. you can start with the page headers and that includes the logo.

as for your logo design, you already know where to post that question...

I'm not bothering with Joomla anymore.

And I designed a logo. Take a look over at my new post in the review forum.

is this a "New Member Introduction"?

@WhiteEagle, if you need a review, then post this request in the proper forum! (and don't remove the thread because you don't like some answers Grin)

It turned from a introduction to a web-design thread. Feel free mods to split it.
