Me, I only have unlimited dial-up internet access at $15/month (bundled with the landline phone). I know mine is slow but I really dont need broadband because I seldom do downloads and streaming so dial-up works for me.

What about you people?

I have 2* 512/256 lines one for the house and one for the garage Smiley
they cost £19 each but have a connotation of 1|10 and unlimited downloads, here in the UK you can get very cheap broadband but it nearly always limits the amount you can download to 1 or 2gb a month, I get through that in a day Smiley

Interesting the download limit, there are here in the netherlands a few cheap offers here doing the same...but most provider offering unlimited downloads or fair use

LOL! They have 4mbit lines available here in town, but since I live too far away from the switching station I'll have to do with 1Mbit...

I have had to live with dial-up for about half a year, I was close to hanging myself with the telephone cable but figured it would be a very slow and painful death... Having to work on a dial-up internet connection after being used to broadband is seriously the most frustrating thing I have experienced in my life!

Interesting that high speed connections seem to be cheaper in Europe.

I'm on a dial-up account made worse by crummy phone service, so I never get anywhere near the actual connection speed we are actually paying for. We pay $19.99 a month. High speed around here runs $40+ and the lower priced ones are often entry pricing (pricing that goes way up after 6 months at the cheap tempting price) or bundled where you have to already have some other more expensive service  as well.

back here in the Philippines, a 700 kbps broadband connection costs US$21/mo, a 1 mbps at US$31/mo, while a 2 mbps is at US$41/mo. and there is also the 56kbps dialup at US$15/mo.

I hope thats not the future in Europe... (but you must be happy, AT&T customers have free local phone calls right?)

Strange. Bandwidth in USA is much cheaper than Europe, but still our internet connections are cheaper Smiley

I have a 2mb ADSL line which costs about 20-30 euro. Thanks to the European commision, our country is keep on upgrading the networks and make prices lower (otherwise I would still have a 11 kbps dial up connection Smiley )

Trial and Error my two best teachers Cool
