blocked IP addres but still spam

I blocked this IP address weeks ago: 82.146.53.67

strange is that my wordpress blog still has lots of comment spams from this address (catched by akismet)

how is this possible?

I think the ips should be written like :

212\.24\.48

Plus the order should be :

order deny,allow

I am not sure about these, but I can check it (I just don't remember where I've done this before)

Try to use this rules in the apache vhost config (if this is in your dedicated server) or put the .htaccess in the other directories too

I thought that if I put the rule insode the root folder it works for all other folders too...

Yeah me too, but it wont work always. I think there is a directive to make it work this way, but anyway it is faster this way.
