http://jlove.justinlove.net/ has on its front page numerous tables, the site is being defined by your use of tables, it looks like a site that uses tables I'm guessing they are defined by your CMS hence the nuke comment.
It looks like a table driven site it has no character to it, certainly nothing unique about it and that is the problem, even if you manage to remove the tables it still looks like a site that is being driven by tables.
check out the various style galleries, for a site that is showing of your new CMS you really need to make it amazing and impressive to look at for me I see a nuke site

Method, I think that the GPL license does not allow you to sell a modified version of the software. You have the right to distribute a modified version for free, but what you do is probably illegal.
Check the big linux distributions. They give their custom GPL licensed OS for free or they sell you the cd or support services. You should check that more before you publish this, otherwise you might have legal problems.

that is another reason why i have not released a public version for download i charge the client for the work involved in installing/integrating the CMS, i suppose not for the CMS software itself? how does thats sound

Isnt that the entire point of tableless design? To have a site that is designed with no tables, but still has the same features and design as if it was using tables. Making it appear to use tables, but it doesnt. Am I wrong? Or do you just not like my work period, Venture?

have you seen another site that uses this same exact design and CMS? No. Therefore it would be unique..
edit- in case you havent noticed, i do not plan to accept or let any criticism slide no matter how constructive it may be, if it is INVALID or DISTRACTED from the subject of this review.

yes right thats why I posted that before, I used that license type for my classes before and several people asked me to re-release the scripts in a BSD type for example. I my case it was important to have also users from bigger projects (to obtain more experience).
I remember also some cases that people get only paid for some modification work afterwards because they used a large amount of GNU/GPL projects in their work. On of the reasons why I use in the most of the projects only my own scripts.

Method that's the purpose of a review, criticism. And believe me no matter what someone sais in your thread about your site is something it can't be invalid as it is the way that member feels about your site
Anyway what Tim was trying to say - at least I think so - is that in order to come up with something new in a saturated market you must have something new. Think of that very reasonable, why someone to use a CMS with no community, templates, etc. etc. while there are tens of open source CMSs that have everything (integrations with other scripts, huge communities, support, etc.)
With that in mind I must say that you need something really unique that other packages don't have.
Great! Good work fixing that footer Meth0d. I personally think that phpHaze is the best CMS out there to date, expecially since you can make any theme fit it . Most CMS use a left, center, and right format, phpHaze doesn't. Meth0d even integrated X7Chat into it in less than a day!

he fixed a few CSS problems with firefox, designed the top logo, and made some new images for the header areas of the content boxes, i designed the rest of the layout though Designer is the man!
.... With that in mind I must say that you need something really unique that other packages don't have.
I agree with that, but nevertheless trying to write your own CMS is a good way to learn coding and might be good enough for small projects.
But personally think that writing strong code, W3C compliant, that has all the features that the big boys have (Drupal, joomla, wordpress ...) have is almost impossible by one man alone.
Overall about this particular CMS, I think the design is above avarage, and I like the icons you are using. And since it works for you I have not objection on the tables being used ....

Ultimately its the client that has to be satisfied not your peers and as Nathan seems to be over happy with haze then that's all that really matters
I'm confused is Haze a rebadged version of this phpfusion, derived from it or something completely different, I was under the impression Haze was entirely your own work which takes serious guts to go out on a limb and design from scratch as I said before!
I say it's derived from it. Uses the same basic operating engine, but different look and functions built on top. Sort of like how a F-150 is related to the F-250. Both are trucks and 4x4s, but have different capilities.
