Hi all,

This is a very short summary of the interview. The interview is split in three parts:

1. first is about paid links and spam,
2. second about duplicate content and
3. third is about sites built in a dynamic fashion containing JavaScript or sites with quality content but poorly built.

Google encourages spam and paid links reporting but they use this as an adjunct to refine their algorithms not to ban the reported sites.
Regarding the paid links -- paying for advertising is not a matter of concern for google, the problem is when the links are bought for the clear purpose of transferring the Page Rank. This is the behavior they are trying to diminish.

Duplicate content is mostly unintentional so google doesn't consider it spam. The problem is with not knowing which of the page should be indexed so the advice is to use robots.txt or even redirect 301 when there are several pages with the same content.

Concerning the dynamic sites the main idea is that a site should be both user and googlebot friendly. Validation checking is the way a webmaster may improve the accessibility of the site for users and browsers.

I hope I made you curious enough Smiley to read the entire interview.

I thought that most people are interested in Google and their algorithms. If my contribution is not welcomed, I won't post again in this forum.

If I don't get my way I'm gonna take my ball and go home.

Sheesh dude, you would have to expect a post like yours, a first post at that, to be questioned when it clearly is promoting your site. Additionally, the interview is with someone that would perhaps not give that much time to just anyone and I was already somewhat suspect of the source before I saw the posts that followed.

We are quite a friendly bunch here and Nickolas is more forgiving than most when it comes to self promotion - but, c'mon 1st post, no introduction - what'da expect.

The interview and write-up seem nicely done and it looks like your site has some very useful information. That content also tells me that you should have known before you posted a post of this kind by a new forum member would be questioned.
