Hi,

I'm a member of blogcatalog since a while:

they started as a pure catalog and added some community features several weeks ago. Since two weeks I have still more activity in my mail:
getting friends, people joining my neighborhood or send reviews / messages.

one important thing is: the didn't accept every weblog! (maybe this is a good point?)

who is a member there too? (I know about Tim)

its not the same as with SU but I think its more active than MyBlogLog.

I was introduced to it from some on on another forum, some nice features, my face seems to follow me now with mybloglog and blogcatalog etc

really I get maybe 1 or 2 visits a week max, biggest refers are still the social boys, stumble, digg, dzone, del.icious though stumble and Digg are sending only a trickle

Its not more than 5-10 a day but I think this community will grow very fast...

I actually got already 1120 views on mybloglog profile since the beggining of the year (5 months)
but I am activelly seeking friends and joining communities

another thing is Mybloglog was recently bought by yahoo

yes right the last one is bought by Yahoo because of the ~50.000 members and some (big) bad publicity

(mybloglog is an example that we are not so far away to create a big and famous web community)

Sorry I did not mean to destroy your thread, it was only to show you that mybloglog can send in some traffic too,
(I do get some traffic from them)
but I am going to see what's up with blogcatalog when I get a chance

yeah thats the only bad thing the blogcatalog is sometimes a little slow
