A 27-year-old man described as one of the world's most prolific spammers was arrested Wednesday, and federal authorities said computer users across the Web could notice a decrease in the amount of junk e-mail.

The poor guy I say, Why don't they arrest all those companies that send us all this junk in our mail (not email) everyday ? On top of that they waste so much paper, moving of bytes around is probably safer for our planet.

Just a thought
I guess email spam is much more evil, you need to invest a lot time to protect yourself against spam. Just imagine if someone is sending spam via YOUR (not so save) contact form

... because of e-mail spam a lot of your (serious) web based emails are going into junk mail boxes, really bad for your internet business

I think you're not wrong but this guy is judged twice for several millions and I'm not the guy who close his door, but he is a bad man on the net...

I read the story, being a spammer is the least of the charges levied against him, he is accused of mail fraud, wire fraud, e-mail fraud, aggravated identity theft and money laundering as well.

Good riddance . Though , I certainly doubt spam will go down . But , since when is sending spam a punishable offense ? .

I read that story too---it's good that they nailed him. I guess most of us received junk in our boxes thanks to him.
