Yeah that's right. If there is an automated way to do anything is allways better
The worst thing for you my friend is that you are using phpBB which is the most attacked forum software. I used to have one too and I finally decided to close it (because of spam and security problems)

That is why, after running it for two years I decided to make good use of acumelated data. I have maybe 20,000 Spam domains in my database.
And I am collecting new ones everyday....
The securety hole has been fixed, but there is one guy "Zlob" who comes in posting like crazy! He can do 20 to 50 posts in one day, with XXX movies download activex malware.
I am going to write a multi delete module, to delete all the posts that have a specific domain name in them. So I find the domain name hit delte and all is clean.
But there are so many other things I would like to do, so this guy is really on my ass. Let's see who wins! Is he going to run out of domains, or I will finish the deletion module. Probably by the time I write it he will be out of domains.
I do not really need this module for other Spamers, just him. The other I catch and ban the domain from being put in in the message! Deleting the message before it goes to the database!
Well it is us against Zlob! If you go to castlecops.com they really have it in for him! <__>
If any of you guys can contribute to this project, I would greatly appreciate it. I really need this module, but I am so busy doing other thing for the project.
It is probably not so hard to write! Just take the deletion routine and put it in a loop!
Thank you, Igor

I would love to help, but I am not familiar with phpBB. And this should not be so easy as there are many associations you have to check/update when you deleting posts.
BTW those spammers buy domains every day, so I am not sure if finally the domain filtering thing will work. That is the logic I used for astatspam too, and in the end I don't see huge results, as most of them change sites every single day....
I am the only one oficially doing Spam Domain List Project Honeypot
I think this thing has a chance to become something big.
And thank you for the offer to help, but I will need someone who knows phpBB inside out, because many things need to be checked.
Like functions, templates, error handling, and preventive mistakes validation! You do not want to input " " in the form field and have all your posts deleted, right?
Maybe someone else who knows phpBB can go for it. But I am sure I will be able to find something for diferent people to do to contribute to this project. I really have a good feeling about it! And being I am the only one who is doing it publically, who knows where it is going to go......
Thank you, Igor
P.S. You know the people in this forum and other PHP programmers, please ask around for a phpBB guru.

And I saw session ids in their urls! Maybe they can afford it with Google PR8 but if you are strating a new blog or forum you will never get indexed by SERPs! It is a search engine death box! But so is phpBB!
We the Webmasters have to clean up after the coders=><__>
Well I keep looking for a magic bullet, but as I have already been doing I may have to do the digging and the cleaning myself!?!
But you guys have some nice scripts, so will come in from time to time! And if I get lost in www.php.net will give it a cry for help! I am still on PHP 4, but started on FORTRAN so not much difference!
Just a bit lost with regex, preg, and string manipulation! So may ask for some help in that respect!
Thanx, Igor

Hmm, I think you are a little wrong here
Regarding the SEO thing it is the problem that most of web developers don't know SEO.
A much stronger example is that all forum softwares use tables.....

Nokolas is right! Its like getting lice out of your hair!!!
And FORTRAN!=PHP~Perl but FORTRAN is a higher level language then PHP so Asambler is highest, then C, FORTRAN, Cobal, or actually machine language is even higher than Asambler! Lets count zeros and ones and get our punch cards! <__>
