I just finished a new accommodation site about a client's Studios in Chania Greece Visit through proxy.

As most of you know already, I paid more attention to the site looking good than actually validating it (maybe some time later on I will do that too)

So please take a look at it and comment on the overall feel of the site and usability of it.

Any other comments or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

One thing I don't like at first sight is the background. I suppose it should represent the sunset colors but it has a little bit of pink. Maybe you should work those colors a little (but the sunset idea is very good)

I found one think: the size of the photo's to the right are very large (in relation to the whole website)

@Nikolas, I suppose the pink on your screen is a light red on my screen
Maybe I should change it.

@Olaf what do you mean, the proportion of picture width to the total content width is very big ?

I don't have too much content (as always with my clients) so I will have to keep the pictures THIS big, otherwise each page will look empty

I like the bg most of all... the inner content is a bit plain which isn't bad, but the contrast should be adjusted... The header title could be a little better, and the links at top should be a bit outstanding since you need your visitors to click on those...

I value everyone's opinion in here, thanks for taking a look,

@Nick, I changed the background color to not look too pinky (please take a look)
Any chance I can get this design in the gallery section ? Wink

@Designer, I changed the navigation links to a darker color (better ?)

It did improve a bit, I still feel the header text and links could be better still... also in a usability perspective, don't expect every visitor to click on the header title to go back to the home page, add a "Home" link somewhere in the page...

I don't expect them to find out that the header title is a link.

The header title and "The Studios" link are one and the same, so everything can be visited from anywhere else.
