I've been using Microsoft Outlook 2002 since (well) 2002.  Now I need to upgrade to an email client that support https.

What is a good email client that can download emails from multiple account and can setup filters where it will automatically sort my mail into folders?  Oh, and is free.

Yes, thunderbird is good. The only thing I am not sure is the https, but as it uses the same code with Firefox it will probably support it.

Before my PC burnt out it's power supply, I used Thunderbird, and it worked excellently. Spam filter was top notch, sorting was perfect, and it even accessed my Google Mail account.
