Hi,

I have on some sites this rule for non existing files/directories:

Code:
RewriteEngine On

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/awstats
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

RewriteRule (.*) http://www.domain.com/ [R=301,L]

this is not working because the folder "awstats" is password protected

what do I need to change? this happens to all wordpress blogs I guess

Awstats is a real directory in your site, or a link from Apache?

inside the awstats directory is a htaccess file.

if I'm logged in the rule works, I guess the condition is a test for a 404
