First thing I notice, is that I didn't noticed something Smiley

I mean you have a nice forum, but there is not something to catch the eye. Maybe you should use a different homepage instead of a forum listing and add more features to the site which can bring in traffic and members.

First impressions wasn't suckered in nothing caught my eye so I clicked a few sections, looked at the conversations that were occurring, I think you need to find some moderators or guides to assist the conversation along, take the web business section the advice is appallingly don't want to criticise your members or mods who I'm sure are doing a good job but maybe you could look at somewhere like wickedfire who while not very friendly bunch use this concept of guides for sections (a friendly(ish) person to help point people in the right direction) taking this concept and attracting experts (like someone who actually is an SEO by trade (a real one I mean not I do SEO consultancy honest)) to look aafter newbies you would end up with a more focused site that can help people.

Have you considered some introductory articles 1 per section that introduces the basic concepts these would not only make great linkbait, help with rankings but could also be a great resource.

Would you like to be an SEO, let me help with, The Tim Nash introduction to SEO alternatively for Social media optimisation take a look at the Venture Skills Blog
