Interesting question. For me a perfect affiliate program :
1) Pays using paypal. 2) Pays frequently 3) Has products for many niches
but the most important I prefer an affiliate program that converts well (banners, landing pages, etc.)
Thanks for the reply, Nik. May I ask: Why Paypal?

This is because in my country (and I guess in many other countries too) clearing an international check is time consuming. For instance the google checks I get come to me after one month, and the bank holds them for about 20 days till I get the money.

Oh okay, I understand. Thanks for your input. Also, is weekly pay too frequent or not frequent enough?

I made this month the first time 20 sales with one company, why?
I guess because of the support provided by the companies affiliate manager. They know the best what you have to do and what not.
Wow, that's fantastic! Sounds like you've got some great assistance&support behind you.

I also like programs that use paypal to transfer your commissions. Checks take to long in the mail and at the bank, plus if you get a US$ check here in Europe you will loose a bit on exchange fees.
In paypal I can receive US$ and use it to pay for my hosting, link building, etc.
