How long did it take you to became a webmaster. I mean how many years or months you have spent to master languages and skills you have now. Please identify length and what kind of skills.

Thats a hard question to answer. I ve been running websites for a few years now, so thats how long it took to learn what I know now. But I m still learning new stuff every day!

I think that you will never stop learning, as the internet is something that changes every day.

Personally I created my first site in 96 but I stoped running sites for some years, and started again in 2004. But all this time I was living (and I still do) from creating web sites.

I agree, you need to learn all times, especially now where it comes to "new" techniques like ajax. But also small things like P3P policies, ICRA labels, optimal CSS coding - this is a never ending process. Yet - it makes fun Smiley

I've worked and desinged sites for about 7 years but had been doing them mainly for myself as a hobby and just recently decided to take the plunge into designing for money since my sister had 2 strokes back in August. Sad

i agree. you can probably get the hang of it after a year or so but theres still sooo much to learn and that you dont want to stop searching for more. its like an unquencheable thirst for knowledge!
