Email Notification on All Unread Topics

Is it possible. So when a get a notification in my yahoo mail, yahoo messenger will notify me by making a sound when i have new mail in my inbox and tells me where its from, just like in the movies: "You Got Mail!" LOL

so is it possible to get email notifications everytime there is a new post? it doesnt matter which thread in the forum it was posted.

There are desktop widgets for that kind of stuff. Gmail has its own, so I guess you can get one for Yahoo mail too

Oh, this can be done from the user profile page

a process of reading or viewing helped me.  I start by clicking on show new replies to your posts review these, then click onshow unread post since last visit read or mark those as read, then click on show unread post since last visit again the click on click here to read all unread topics.  From there I pick topics of my interest and when through mark all as read.  I can then start over "clean" next time. Long reply, seems obvious, but it wasn't until I got used to it.
