How do you get rid of them ? I mean how do you get rid of cheap advertisers ? Do you use the competitive filter at all ?

Sometimes I get $0.68 but most of the times is around $0.10 but quite often I get $0.01 ...

How about I filter out all the MFA sites, and all the parked sites using the competitive ad filter ?

Some people argue that google already displays only the highest bidders on adsense !!! But if this happens how come we get clicks worth $0.01 and even $0.00 sometimes ?  I believe it displays the low bidders quite often too ...

( On a side not I should mention here that "cheap clicks" has been copyrighted by our own Olaf and I have actually asked for permission to use it  Shocked  )

I had a $1,78 click the other day on a site that normally gets only $0.01 clicks. I'm not sure you can filter out the cheap clicks though. There is the competitive ads filter, but how do you know which ones are the cheap clicks and even if you knew,  how would you keep your filter up to date?

I know what you are saying + Google actually allows you to filter up to 200 urls anyway ...

But, still in theory you can actually see some of the urls advertising on your sites and visit the (not by clicking of course) and judge for youself.

If the site is cheap looking, does not sell anything directly, MFA, or a parked domain I think its safe to assume that they are not paying ...

And you can actually get the advice of http://www.adsblacklist.com Visit through proxy
registered users can submit what they feel like cheap advertisers (urls) and others can also vote on what they think about them ... so there is a collective way to judge ...

I was very surpised lately to have found lots of parked domain advertising on my game site ... I don't know why google allows this !?

It's time to use PHP5!

you can't filter ads based on what you see, Adsense doesn't shows you the ads you're looking for.

example: maybe your cheap click ads are from advertisers in the US and most of your visitors are from there, then you need to know which ads are shown to people from the US

THanks guys, but how about those sites that are actually MFA and parked pages I don't think those people would be willing to pay more than $0.01 per click or would they ?

Both opinions are right. Google is trying to give you the best ads (in terms of earnings) and I am sure they do that because they actually that earns money for them too.

Of course they should also put somewhere the low cost ads Smiley The competitive filter is a good thing but you will probably see a drop in clicks, earning you the same amount of money.

In my opinion you only need to block ads from big companies that buy low (eg. ebay)

I think a lot of that depends on the topic of your site. Several on my list because they kept coming up for everything like ebay does:

monstermarketplace.com
pricegrabber.com
shopping.com
target.com

Don't know if I'm shooting myself in the foot by perhaps eliminating some high paying ads. Don't think it matters in the long run if they are so off topic as to be unlikely to be clicked in the first place.

Thats another point if ads are not related (or interesting enough) people will never click them and your eCPM went  down...

I have not paid attention to that but it makes sense ... when you have less clicks you have a lesser chance of EXPENSIVE ads been clicked  (assuming that most ads are inexpensive in google adwords)
