I don't think PR is associated with business anymore. Of course you can try to sell links using text link ads or even try to sell some in forums like this Smiley

PR doesn't mean a lot, wii4.us went from 0 to 5 in pagerank and has less than 20 uniques a day Sad

yes but lots of people want to buy good PR pages because they want in turn to sell good PR pages to people that need to buy good PR pages that want to sell their good PR pages  .... see the logic ? (hey its recursive)

If your PR is all you got try selling in the forums, I don't think text-link-ads will help you sell any unless you are VERY good PR or very popular blog ... if you sell on your own current going rates are ROUGHLY 50% of what this tool tells you http://www.text-link-ads.com/link_calculator.php

I lost my PR6 on my weblog because of selling links (or at least because my blog was listed at TLA or similar sites)

Sad

I know people that sold links that their PR was not affected (names not mentioned here) but the way I see it every knowledgeable webmaster has sold at least one link in their career ...

it's not that selling links is bad but get listed on those sites is not the best thing you should do (because they sell PR)

Forget PR.... work on your traffic. Get your traffic up then you are in a good position to sell advertising on your site.

Me personally would never buy a link simply for PR.... maybe 2 years ago but not anymore. I never really got any real value out of it.

I would also stick to getting traffic rather than pr. If you have both, its better but traffic is king always and does not depend on google dropping your pr.

1. Just find few people who still think that link building with high PR is important and than rob them.

2. Try to build more and more websites until your websites come in page 1 in SERP and than enjoy the organic and targetted traffic.

3. Sell the website

If you have traffic then try selling banners, link sales might produce a few bucks but make sure you only link to decent sites. Linking to spammy sites might not be too good as you might lose some of your PR.

If I was going to sell links I would not be mentioning it on a forum. While I have never bought or sold links, I would not want to let it be known that I wanted to do this on a forum. Just way too many people who would love to catch someone and turn them into Google.

yeah, High google page rank site doesn't mean high traffic site. You need to optimize the more search volumes keywords rather than just going for Google page rank. The green bar you saw on your browser actually is an three months old data. Therefore it is not reliable.

For SEO purposes, always go for the top search volumes keywords, optimize that. Then you should get a lot of traffic at the end of the day.
