Let me first say that I did not designed this site.  It was a purchased PSD from a template shop.  I coded the site using CSS based layout.  There is some PHP for mostly randomizing banners and side content as well as using PHP includes so that I don't have to change dozen of pages because I added a new menu item.

The layout does not break in IE7 and FF on Windows.  But I would like screen shots of any broken layouts in other browsers (especially on Macs).

Also feedback on usability and navigation would be nice too.

The first problem I see, is that I can't understand what this site is about in the first minute.

After that minute I realize that it is a site that has no specific topic. For instance I see a shop with GPS navigators and global warming DVDs (which are total unassociated) and a section for videos.

That makes no sense. A site should have a topic (niche) and must provide information on this, and nothing else.

That was my immediate reaction. Here is a good tip. Get 3 people you know that have not seen your site. Tell them to go to your site while you are standing behind them. See what they do then. Do you know what I did? I closed the tab. Not trying to be mean on my 2nd post on this forum, but just a clue to the minds of people you don't know...your visitors.

Sorry to say but I see the same thing as the predecessors

One other thing is that the layout even though it looks stylish looks a lot like the layouts of forums, especially those that use vbulletin
(don't know maybe its only me that sees this)

It has been one year since I made the original post.   For those of you still around, thanks for all the comments.

I have now completely re-designed and re-built PeacefulParadox.com from scratch.  Too bad I don't have an old screen shot to compare with this new one.

To address the issue of no knowing what the site is about.  I have laid it out so that first and foremost it is obvious that it is a place where people can buy things.  What kinds of things?   Things related to "Peaceful" mind-body activities such as yoga.  As well as "Paradoxical" puzzles.  What do yoga and puzzles have in common?  Well, that there is the paradox, isn't it.

Second, it has an article section where I can write about well whatever comes to mind.  Anything from "Which water bottles are safe?" to video of Michael Gates Gill, author of "How Starbucks Save My Life" speaking at Google.  What do the two have in common?  Nothing.  Think of it as just random blogging.

Can you please review this new design?  thanks.
