We at Joffee Publishing Inc. have the pleasure of announcing a new annual contest, open to any writer. There are three categories: non-fiction books, fiction novels, and children's books. The prizes are as follows:

  • 1st place: Your rate will stay at 5%, no matter how big your monthly sales get.
  • 2nd place: The highest your rate will climb is 10%, again no matter how big your book's monthly sales are.
  • 3rd place: The highest your rate will climb is 15%, again no matter how big your book's monthly sales are.

[edit]
(The rate is how much we deduct as our take for publishing your book. Ex. Your book makes $50,000 in sales one month. Ordinarily, we would take 25% of those sales as our fee, but if you win, we would only take 5% of that 50G.)

The writer will keep own the copyright to the book or novel submitted to us. We also publish 99.99% of the time within 1 month electronically, and six months afterward in print form.
[/edit]

To enter, send a email to submit@joffeepublish.com, with your manuscript as an attachment, and the subject as "2007 Writing Contest Entry".

I would like to wish all who read this good luck!

No, it's a reduction on how much I take off from your monthly sales as Joffee Publishing Inc.'s fee. Say you make $50,000 in sales in a month. Normally, you'd get dinged 25%, but if you get first place, I only take 5% of that as my fee. Same for the other two.

Perhaps you should do a bit of an explanation to help encourage people to enter, saying how good your service is, how many books you sold this year and how many products published?

You might also want to show why your service is better then lulu and similar it will make people more confident you wouldn't want people to have a disjointed impression about what they are entering, you don't for example say who owns the copyrights for example.
