Hi,
Not exactly about web design but quite close. Im using a lot of nice javascript for makeing pictures reflect. Just came out new FF update and now this not working on xp nor linux. Does anyone know what happend? That was so nice and easy to use design effect and no more working. You can check examples how this work here:

http://cow.neondragon.net/stuff/reflection/ Visit through proxy

and here:

http://www.digitalia.be/software/reflectionjs-for-mootools Visit through proxy

or just do googling with "reflection.js"

and of cos, you can see this efect from today only on IE7, Safari, Opera under whatever OS. but not more on FF if you did update to  2.0.0.10

If anyone can give some info how to fix it, would really good! Cheers.
ps
must finished web site and there is rule - must be less then 2MB, so this effect save a lot of KB and giving amazing effect.. $%£$^

Im really very upset.. FF was my top browser but if there wont be solution then it means I have to spend a weeks for changing completaly design for some pages. I bet Im not alone and hope this is minor problem. I dont care about IE6 and less where this effect not working but all modern browsers do. There is something about canvas tag.. okies, back to googling

since this feature was pure javascript it's not really the browsers fault Smiley

I guess FF has changed some JS compatibility, there is also a problem with the new version on gmail.

My Advice: make sites which are looking good in FF (and don't use those JS effects Smiley)

here we go.. thats from author:

The Firefox 2.0.0.10 update broke the canvas.drawImage() javascript
function, which is used by this script. Consequently, the reflection
will not appear in this particular version of the browser and there is
nothing I can do about it. You need to wait for the Firefox 2.0.0.11
update or use the Firefox 3 Beta version. Don't send me any mail about
this issue, watch and send your comments to the bug status page on
Bugzilla instead. Thank you!

Do you wanna say that FF team dont care to fix it? Sad .. Oh no.. well, is there any other solution to make similar effect? Does anyone use something similar but through different scripting? I want to escape to change a bunch of pictures with photoshop and one by one. This is work for a week at least.
