More than just a Webmaster

« on: Dec 13, 2007, 05:42:15 PM »

Somehow i got drawn to this site not only by an advertising on a .gr site but simply by the looks and feels of this site. Really a nice community site.
About me... hmm. That's a rather long story, so let me come right to the end of it. My partner and me develop websites and software in Thailand and partially, as you can guess from my nick, in Greece.

We just released a new Hotel Software Visit through proxy with the obligate website to it and that's how i actually landed here.

I will sure be back - to learn more about new tatoo designs  Grin ....amongst other things.

If any one here has website that just doesn't wanna go up - SEO is my personal hobby and maybe i can help.

Thanks for letting me participate in your community

Hi to the Philippines

Living on Koh Tao and not being involved in scuba diving, in one way or the other, seems to be an impossible task. I started scuba diving in Koh Samui, two islands down south of Koh Tao,  in '99 and made my divemaster in 2001. Nowaday i leave that field for the younger once - me, Methusalem - and develop Software for Dive Centers Visit through proxy

Besides of that i'm keeping busy with all the scuba diving websites i'm working on. Plus there is that friend of mine who just had the great idea to open the 45th diving school on Koh Tao (21sqkm). Huh So i was mulitasking to get that shop's website running.
Cool thing is that that worked out so well, that he made his first two Open Water Courses Visit through proxy with website customers only two days after opening the door. That's what good internet marketing does. oh yeah  Grin

I know that the Philippines have nicer dive sites and more fish than we do on Koh Tao, but scuba diving courses are very cheap here and that drives the crowd. Koh Tao makes more than 30'000 scuba diving certifications per year! The worldst bigest dive center is located on Koh Tao, Ban's Diving makes 9'000 cert/year all by themseves.

I have a Swiss friend here on Koh Tao, he runs one of the dive schools here, who used to live and work on the Philippines for several years and i've seen many uw-pictures. Nice stuff... Some day, when i sell some more software i'll pass by for a coupple of fun dives.

Are you from the Philippines? Or expat? What are you doing there? Are you diving?

George

PS: Now i checked the smiley part....stupid me... Wink

hi George, so you are originally from Switzerland, lived in Greece for a few years, and now currently living in Thailand, huh?

Are you from the Philippines? Or expat? What are you doing there? Are you diving?

yeah, im a Filipino, living here in the Philippines. i do computer drawings for a friend who's an interior designer. webmastering is just a hobby of mine yet it pays the bills too. currently, me and a partner is setting up a company that will rent out robots for entertainment and promotion. our robots will bring excitement and unique experiences to parties, tradeshows, corporate events, product launching, grand openings, etc.

and nope, im not into diving, but i have a blog in blogger about Philippine Beaches which i update daily whenever possible.

edit: i forgot, my name is Vince by the way...
