Web Design Software ---What 'ya using?

Things seem a little slow around here.
So here's a thread that's probably way-overdone but.....................
What software is everyone here using to get things done??
At present I got a copy of Macromedia Studio MX 2004. Ebay -- $35 -- 100% legal. Git it about 6 months ago so I'm still learning it. Mostly Dreamweaver.
Other than that, GIMP and FileZilla for ftp.

Before Dreamweaver I was using HTML Kit. A really cool, free text editor.
A couple of other progz I use are [url http://www.xnview.com]Xnview[/url], a image viewer that suppots .xcf files and Total Commander as a file manager.

I'll save SEO programs for another thread.

Net Objects? How is that?
I remember Netfirms used to offer that to anyone who bought a hosting a plan with them. I almost got the paid hosting just for the program!

Me too, but I use WinSCP. Very, very cool. The default editor is their own specialized text editor, but you can you can set it up to open whatever. There are tons of cool features to this software, and best part, free. Link: http://winscp.net/eng/index.php

I am using Kompozer which is an upgrade from Nvu, it's okay so far but the webpage I designed so far looks very basic, so I am in the process of researching how to improve the appearance.

Nowadays Notepad is enough for me.
Before that i used dreamweaver for many years.
Today i work mostly with WordPress blogs and CMS.
Things get done much faster this way and therefore my need for dreamweaver has vanished.

Notepad. Well ok, Editplus, so i have syntax highlighting.
For html, css, javascript, php, databases - i code every single comma, every single dot, every single inch is written down diligently by my cute hands lol :-)

I'm With Notepad, notepad2 to be exact... graphics on sites, I use Photoshop and Paintshop alternately as well as Illustrator... But most of the time when developing sites, its notepad still...

Eclipse PDT + Aptana plug in.
PDT has debugging, code auto complete, typical eclipse features.
Aptana has extra cool tools for JS, like integration with various js libraries.
I don't use wysiwyg much.
Also, I use mysql gui tools

My essential tools for building websites:
XAMPP - local web server with PHP and MySQL
FileZilla - FTP software with multiple simultaneous transfers
Notepad++ - the best text editor i found, with syntax highlighting, function manager and more
Adobe Photoshop - the best image editing software I've come across

For people newer to development, something like Dreamweaver would be more ideal than just a plain text editor.

I just tried Adobe Dreamweaver CS - It's not worth the while. A huge install file and still as slow as ever. Thumb down for the new dreamweaver!

I bought my site already built.  I know about the topic but not about programming websites.  I am using social niche builder and simple machines for the forum.  It works well and is self explanatory.  I think so far it is doing just fine and it does not eat up too much bandwidth.

For my blogs I am using Wordpress and Drupal. My favorite is Drupal though, even it is more difficult to use. It is more powerful too.

I use either EditPlus or Zend Studios for my web programming work. I also have Visual Studios 2006 which I use for my Visual C# projects, but I am still learning. The web browser that I use is either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. As of Instant Messengers I only use AOL Instant Messenger, but I do have accounts on MSN and Yahoo.

I prefer Adobe Dreamweaver, sometimes FrontPage.

I am using front page. But generally I use ready made templates as you do not have to do anything just load it and start using it.

Definitely Notepad 2. Dreamweaver. Trying to write everything  by hand. Sometimes I choose to use some CMS: Joomla is a good one.

I use text editor ,such as editplus.

I use Dreamweaver. It is a nice and useful web design software.
