had a friend design a website in photoshop, but then quickly learned that going from photoshop isn't as easy as originally planned. anyone have any good resources on doing this? we had tried working within fireworks and photoshop its self but coming out with very bad results.
also whats the going rate for converting psd to html? have a feeling that i might have to go down that road heh

Well, if you think this is hard, there are many services in the web that do the job for you. Plus there is a plugin for photoshop (I don't remember the name but I guess you can google it) that converts the psd to html
You can also use the chop tool - its the one that looks like a square under the left hand selection tools.

thanks, i took a look at a few of the sites and a little more then could afford atm...
did spend 10hrs today on it and went through a few tutorials on the subject and i think that i have it now. got it all together in CSS with div tags to display the images and the background, just having problems with the text stuff so i will have a post there too soon hehe
