- i've included link updates at PR at each acces. - i've included Alexa Traffic Rank (Alexa Traffic Rank is a very important factor by which you choose the directory) - i've included Alexa Links - i've included the sort by PR (Google's PageRank)

all these 6000+ directories, sorry for bad words guys, s***ck. I wonder if there are people who waste time and oh, even worse money to submit site to these directories. There are 2 directories who deserve my personal attention - dmoz and google. Thats it.

Capthca, do you ever have anything nice to say or do you just run around attacking poeple. Thank you for building this list. While directories may or may not have great value, just as directories, the PR is great stuff. Any PR4+ link will help.

Salestrainer, any PR4+ link will help you only if you are looking for pagerank. If you are looking for results then pagerank and directories is not the way to achieve it.

Directory links still has SEO value. They also can be a good source of traffic overtime. Think of it this way - two sites in the same niche, both having equal scores in Google's algo. Site A decided to submit to a few (100++ but less than a 1,000) quality directories and site B remain stagnant in link building - who do you think would be ranked higher in the SERP and would get a higher PR? And would generate more traffic in the long run?

directory submission is for back links, but not traffic, then what's the point? why should I care directory submission? I captured here different opions and believe it's no longer effective in terms of traffic or keyword optimization tool

Directory submissions tend to lose their power over time...
More and more spammy directories come out each day...
I would be pretty careful where i submit my site andf i guess i would only pick a few selected directories like google's directory, botw directory and of course NOT Dmoz because it sucks big time
Plus since google is getting really stricter with paid links directories that need a fee to submit with will get affected or lose their power...
Just be careful with these companies that promise thousands of dir submissions as well...I would not trust anyone that easy...
There are surely better ways to get backlinks
Social bookmarking seems to have a better future that the old style ones...
That's my opinion....

thanks for the list, should help my site get higher PR. I know directories don't really do much, but 10-20 links per day should boost a site's PR eventually

Thanks for sharing this huge directories list. The best thing about that list is that you can sort that list according to your requirement. Great work man.
