Can i humbly ask for your professional opinions please. I just designed a new website; not sure though if I've overdone it here. Is this just looking cool? Or is it over designed?

Unless something isn't loading for me I don't see what you are talking about. It doesn't look over-designed to me.
The only places I might play with if it were mine would be to make the orange text more red and less orange like the banner, as it is now it looks a bit washed out. That blue you are using in the logo (the stripes) might look nice too.
The yellow background in the comment boxes is a surprise as one scrolls down the screen - might want to play with that too.

Thanks for the input - you are right, darker orange does look better. Tried the blue but also had 'washed out' effect. I can't see any yellow background in the comment boxes or fields though. Neither in firefox nor ie7. What browser are you using??

Not over-designed, I think it's under-designed... But the header is too busy imo, and I think you could use a better site logo... I like the rest of the colour scheme though. I think all you need is a better header...

You're welcome, I like the darker orange. The yellow is showing to me in the name and email fields. Are they 'required' and perhaps handled differently? I'm using Firefox/2.0.0.14 on a PC running XP.

:-) I knew it was a good idea to ask you here! - thank you all. I applied some changes according to your recommendations and it does look better now. I removed the text in the header, so the logo letters wouldn't be as dominant anymore.
I don't want to change the logo size though - Design vs. Logo Recognition - The logo hangs physically out in the street, so it's important that people recognize the logo at first glimpse when they pass by or look for the shop. There's a 'rent a bike shop' every 50 meters! Huge competition.
- Changing the logo itself is out of the question since the shop exists with this logo since ten+ years... - Branding. - The Yellow??? No idea! Does anybody else see yellow in the comment fields? I tried logout on firefox, no yellow... mysterious since there is no yellow in the css.

Usually the field become yellow when an 'auto fill' is activated either over the google toolbar or with some sort plugin or software. I guess you have google toolbar installed on firefox and activated the auto fill option in the google toolbar options (right side - magnifying glass)
If my assumption is correct, your browser should show fields on other websites in yellow as well. As i mentioned before, there is no yellow in my css, so it must come from your browser somehow. :-)

Sorry to have you waiting, Designer.
Even tough it does look nice and I'm thankful for your idea and suggestion, we will stick to the header image that we have now. Motorbikes is all about action and moving and i find your logo suggestion to 'quiet' if you understand what i mean. I've also built a subconscious message into the header logo from what we hope to convince at least some tourist to use a helmet while riding on a motorbike in Koh Tao. The roads are not the worlds best here and especially after heavy rainfall we also get a lot of 'motorbike fall'. Tourists seem to think that if they're in Asia and in holiday, they don't really need to apply to any laws and sure not the helmet law; it's hot here. Now one could say, "Ok- only rent bikes out with helmet" - Done! , than the customer just turns around and walks into the next shop where nobody talks about wearing a helmet. On a n island like Koh Tao, where you can rent a bike at every 50 meters of the way you walk, we need another way to convince people that a helmet is first of all good for them! Lederhosenbikes + Helmet = Fun! This message is missing in your logo.
Thanks again, all of you, for your tips & suggestions from what I've learned and also applied many of the suggested changes
