I don't think squidoo works good for promoting web sites. In the past it was great for SEO, but now it is penalized so it wont work. After all squidoo is the favorite of spammers so it doesn't have any real prospective
I can't believe it!! you spammed here too. man, if you go on like this, you will NEVER achieve any results, believe me!

I keep reading that squidoo is a good place to advertise your business, so why do you say spammers use it?

The original idea for Squidoo was naive since they were actually trying to do something worthwhile to bring about a presence for those who didn't have the resources as large corporations to promote a product or service. These days everyone and his brother who have some knowledge of social networking knows about what it has become. It's a shame really because with having a stigma like that, the only way it would be able to gain trustworthiness back is by temporarily closing down the site, cleaning house with every lens that has some sort of spam, banning the users that created those, keeping a database of those banned accounts/e-mails, then plugging in concise rules so this sort of activity doesn't happen again. if that isn't a viable option, then do it by a free, pay this amount, pay the most amount-type packages (some obscene amount, that is) so companies that are serious about promotion get no-holds barred access to go spam-crazy for a particular product/service. This way Google would eventually ease back and accept Squidoo and not red-flag the entire site and it's pages.

I think Squidoo is one of the best way wherein you can promote your website or your products.

Have paid $25 to create two lenses at DP and got scammed. Before this I have heard too much about this one but now I have bad experience for this one.

I recently set up a lens at Squidoo..just for fun really, but did put a couple of ads there for products I was promoting. It can get really addicting. I was checking out the many categories and looking at the top 100 lenses and some of them are really impressive.
