Could you point out a few of the better sites or BOOKS that can help one to learn about SEO? I understand you don't want such general questions, however, if anyone can point me to places where I can glean the most information (I know there's lots of info out there, but where is the GOOD info?), I would appreciate it. I am not looking to hire an SEO company, but thanks for your inquiries.

If you want to learn about SEO stuff, rather search for SEO books online. There are free downloadable books online. use the right search term to get good results.

seobook.com is a good resource. As for me, most of the SEO skills I learned came from participating in webmaster forums
