I've been looking to purchase a website for some time now, I just can't find a good "website for sale" directory that lists both the income and traffic of the sites for sale. Has anybody else found a good website for sale directory?

Why buy a website? Why not build a site? You'd be much better off.

For someone who does not have the skills it takes to build a website, it's a hard advice to take.

But....I would love to build one that is professional looking, what is your advice. I have no knowledge of programming languages or anything like that... a total newbie, what's your advice?

There is a plenty of open source CMS that you can use in order to create a site. Using one does not need programming knowledge, but of course you will have to learn how the CMS you are using works.

You can do almost anything with WordPress Visit through proxy today. Since version 2.5+ it has become the easiest CMS on the Internet. More than 3'000'000 blogs are hosted on WordPress alone.

Setting up your own website with WordPress will take yo no longer than 1 hour! 10 minutes to sign up for a reliable web hosting account, 20 minutes to read the instructions (optional if your server provides simple Scripts or at least Fantastico you won't even have to read an instruction file.) With the remaining 30 minutes i recommend to snoop around the WordPress Plug in Extensions Visit through proxy website to add some functionality like forum or web shop to your site. Installing these extensions and even upgrading them has become a matter of a single button click.

If you are looking for a nice looking and free template for your new site, there are tons of them out there configured to suit your WordPress CMS. Some pretty nice ones are hosted on the WordPress Themes Site Visit through proxy but have a look around; I've found many better ones on private websites.

Now if you would like to learn how to set this up and even gain some few dollars instead of paying them; I've written an article a while ago on my Internet Marketing & Consulting Visit through proxy blog where i explain how to, in detail.

If you need any help, let me know.

Okay samiotis, I will look into your advice. My area of expertise is accounting, but I am trying my hand at internet marketing, the most I have done so far formally is Information Technology in high school. So these languages (joomla, css, php etc) are quite foreign to me.

ebay always has auctions for websites, other places sell them often as well.  they are out there if you are willing to pay for them, but you might overpay especially for traffic if you do not know what kind of traffic it is.  anyone can run an autohit program on a site to inflate traffic.

If you buy a website, it would be difficult for you to add somethging or to edit. And the other thing is that the web designer might put his link in your website.
