I've been using 5 for sometime now but I notice some people are still on 4. Is 5 still buggy or is it that it's still not as stable as 4?

Anyway, so far I haven't had any issues with version 5, and have had to upgrade as some scripts didn't work well on 4.

Mysql 5.0 is very stable and much better than the 4 branch.

The reason that most people still use mysql 4 is what you said regarding scripts that may not run too well, which is not so true as you can configure mysql 5 to work the way 4 was working, so I guess it depends on the admin.

MySQL 5 is much more stable , better function handling and now supported buy a lot more projects.
with People still using MySQL 4 they would have old MySQL 4 based scripts and haven't bothered to update either.
