I get a list with some digg like pages. I've checked few of them like http://www.upcoming.pl and http://business-planet.net and I could digg up there with 5 fake accounts. Is it worth the job. Will it help to generate traffics to my page?

I don't think that kind of activity will really help you. Besides that this is spam and it is unethical in any way, it doesn't work too because those sites don't really have traffic and it is a time waste to submit your story to all of them.
Instead of that try to create content that people will vote for anyway

no one said that my pages are worth nothing but It's nearly impossible to get on top of digg or reddit. And rather PR of their frontpage is the thing that could give traffics in my opinion.

I haven't had much luck with social bookmarking as a traffic generator but I think you'll need a lot more then 5 accounts to get up in Digg. If you really think it's worth the time there are "rings" out there who digg each others work.

Yes i agree.. Social media networks are important for SEO and if you want to get traffic apart from backlinks, try Facebook and twitter!

I am totally agree with you. I personally have the same experience. Catchy Title of your blog or website post helpful for attrecting more visitors in Digg and it also helps to get more "digg it" clicks on your post. And couple of my bookmarks in Digg comes in my Website backlinks.

Digg is good for the short term traffic issues, but it cannot provide backlinks!

that's not a good idea you've got in there honey... Nikolas is right, that is unethical and i had just found that out too recently when we've had Ethics on Information Tech at school... spamming will really not do good to you... plus, digg i think does not do good, really, i wonder why i've listed it on the other comment i made (hmmn, gotta edit that one later) anyway, there really isn't that traffic in there, digg and digg-like sites can even be called as the road less travelled... not many really go in there and find something worth reading, etc... instead i suggest you connect to more people, and not just? an "add friend" connection but really connect to them. Chat with them, make them feel like they are more than just a probable client. It may be a tiring and even time taking. But at least, you know you'll be gaining some really good readers and clients in the end. what do you reckon dear?
