It's not enough to keep on building links, you should also make sure your content is relevant to your niche and you always update your site with fresh content.

Yeah, what have said is correct place your site in the high ranking web directories to get more inbound links.

Can't agree more. You have spoken out the truth of link building. 

The most effective links are those from those relevant authority sites with your target keywords in the anchor text.

I agree that to Get Inbound Links from a high pr site is  a very hard thing to do since no will take you link on their sites for free then it is better to try some thing like guest post it is very effective way to get a inbound link for your site.

Yes its important, and it takes time, and it's a little hit and miss ... if it was easy everyone would have to find a new way to tip the scales in their favor.  Keep plugging away long enough and the results will come.

Most times that you hear of "semrush", it is an "independent" (ha, ha) recommend from the authors.

But I think google will all links, but will give more value for subjective and relevant links
