I have website and two premium domain names. Domain name A is a general knowledge domain name of the topic. Domain name B is a broad knowledge domain name of the topic that can cover many topics on the topic its self.

I would like to use Domain name B to appeal to a bigger audience. The problem is my knowledge of the topic covers Domain A. I do not want to start a website that I cant deliver on. Because people are going to ask questions and I will need answers. I thought about two different possibility's. A# I google the question I don't understand and post a answer with a link back to the original topic. (which is going to take users away from the website) Or B# I hire someone to answer questions in the topic that I don't have a general knowledge in.

My question is whats the best way to find a person like this. And also how can I be sure that there not using google to get the answer to the question? And how much can I expect to pay for someone to come to my forum and answer questions. Or do you think I should just stick to domain name A? I could probably answer 60% to 80% of Domain B's questions.

Edit: I was using a spell checker and the top part of my post got cut off  Shocked

First of all it would be easier to be more specific.

Now I think that hiring someone it could be better, as there will be better answers to your member's questions. You can use this sub forum Visit through proxy to find someone to hire.

The price is little difficult to say because it propably depends on the topic, and of course on the knowledge level that someone will need to have in order to answer. I mean it is very easy to tell somebody how to install a mySQL server on their pc, but it is really hard to tell how to set up a sendmail deamon in a server.

I get what your saying, I never thought about the different levels of support. I am disabled and live on a fixed income I couldn't afford to pay someone more than $20 a month to start. I doubt I could get someone to work for that. I know over time the website would feed on its self. Members would answer other members posts. Its just how do I get to that point?

Maybe when its ready I can look for a partner who can help with funding. Or a partner with a strong knowledge in the backround of the topic. That would be willing to donate their time instead of money.

I really do not want to name the topic until the website is ready. I think there are allot of general websites that cover the topic. But there are no websites that are totally dedicated to the topic.

To get to the point where your members will be able to answer the other members questions, you should have made a community with many active users.

To have a community site with many members, you should attract new members.

To attract new members you must have a unique site (a lot of work) plus many posts (maybe you should post with different usernames in your forum, so it wont look empty)

All of these are a hard task to do, and that's why people prefer buying forums for creating one from scratch.

You can always find people to answer questions for $0.  Most will probably require some kind of paymentl like an ad on the forum though.

I think hiring someone in the beginning is a bit overkill; you may want to use google as your best friend to answer questions as best as you can.

That's a great advice. I allways do that when someone asks something that I am aware of.

Of course this depends on the topic of your forum. For example if someone ask you how to compile php 4 with oracle support propably even Google wont help....
