-Refurbish the room I work in at least since I cannot do the rest of the place. -Advance in my technical skills. -Dedicate more time and effort to find paid work instead of enjoying studying and experimenting and doing video tutorials for free. -Help others by first helping myself. -More physical fitness. -Pray and pray hard; the world needs it.

First of all good luck everyone with your goals for 2009.
Personally I would like to :
1) Totally get rid of windows (still have 1 pc with Bill's OS) and be 100% Ubuntu
2) Raise my online income enough to stop taking freelance projects. At the moment I still need some clients.
3) Implement a few startup ideas I had during the army time last year.

Getting rid of Windows completely and replacing only with Linux seems like a difficult thing still for me. Because there are programs such as flash and fireworks and dreamweaver, and many more, that don't really have a good enough substitute in linux. I have Ubuntu in one of my systems but only use it when windows goes to hell and I need to keep connected to the internet while I find a solution to the crashed windows. In that sense having a disk with ubuntu is a real good idea as one can start your Pc without even installing the OS and at least navigate on the web.

@Drupaljohn it's true that there are many programs in our job that need windows, yet the wine project can help you use them with linux (for instance photoshop cs2 runs good)
The live cd is a good option to check Ubuntu, but if you are using it a partition with ubuntu would be better because it would be faster and you could easilly install apps.
