Black hat is just for some time. After that you lose rankings and traffic so it has no real value.
I would go for white hat as it is something that will stand in time.

i too think white are much better especially if you are looking in long terms. short term might work well with black hat. but its too risky especially for a noob like me though.

Black Hat SEO is a big NO NO for me!.. It uses illegal and not following the rules and regulations just to get back links easily. Here are some of the techniques use by the black hat specialists: - cloaking - link farms - spamming - keyword stuffing - door-way pages - invisible/hidden text

According to Google, White Hat SEO is good, Black Hat SEO is bad, and most Grey Hat SEO is risky. I just go with the SE giant.

I think SEO is not a white or black world. There is no definitely correct measure or standard which would apply in all situations. It happens a lot when some people found some method works well for them but others regards as crap or completely a waste of money and effort.
So, as long as u know what u are doing, it will be okay>

if you want long run SEO, than better to choose white hat SEO rather than Black hat SEO, which don't have any guarantee of spamming.

For me, I will think there is no definitly boundary between the white and black hat SEO, it is all the techniques that we used to promote our site!
The advice here is to make a plan, and don't spam, don't over do things, and don't do anything that is risky!

If you want your site indexed by google use the white hat SEO. Black hat is a hacker. Yes you can easily get a traffic but your site will not stay long in search engines.
