The thread of why I am here

No no no!, this is not any offtopic anyhow, this is hosting related question, why actually brought me to this forum, via tens of others.

I know of hosting pretty much, having four years of experience in howting world as a client and as a marketing agent, but the trouble is I have never hosted any adult content... I know everyything I need, I even have already chosen the company to host the site, - exmasters.com - because of free content...

BUT only thing as I suppose impossible to find is OTHERS experience in this business sphere... I am afraid of being thrown away from the market, by some unwritten laws of adult world, if they exist, and it is just intreresting to know how have others reached the success..

So have you ever hosted AN ADULT WEBSITE? What are its specialities?

Never hosted an adult site. It is a very hard industry plus I prefer ethical ways of making money.

I am not familiar with any specific thiings of the adult webhosting, thus I cannot say what you may or should expect, but I know the company yu are taliking about - exmasters.com - they are specialized in this hgosting type, even offering acontent for free, and are low cost and stable. If you finally decide to host an adult website, this hosting provider will be one of the best possible solutions, I believe.

I've thought about hosting an adult site but in the long term I don't believe it's in my best interests. Like Nikolas, I believe in more ethical ways of making a buck or two.

I think you may get more assistance about your issue at adult web master forums, say netpond. Of course there are nuances not found in the mainstream world. It's almost all about choosing tgp scripts,merchant systems, deciding on a niche...
You will defifnitely learn more about at the specialized forums.

But since you've posted in the Hosting section, I'll try to point out a few hosting-related aspects.
What should be your priority in choosing hosting for adult site:
- server stability - a downtime of 20-30 minutes may result in losing hundreds or thousands dollars.
-excellent proactive support ( for the reason mentioned above)
- dedicated IP address
-upgrade scalability - you never know how fast your project will grow, so it's money wise to start on a shared and then move to dedicated.

I actually do not think porn industry is something unethical.  The more so because this is one of the largest segment of the internet, which is however rather difficult to join as it appeared.

Was also adviced to choose an offshore hosting, which was found to be good at santrex.net.

Though, I had to made a complete reconstrustion of the site, thus I have stopped to seek.
