Hello!
I have some questions regarding databases. I am creating a website that will 'hopefully' have a database that users can search. I am creating the website using Dreamweaver CS4 on a Mac.
My hosting company provides me with a tool to create a database, however I am unable to display the search results on my website with my own design background. Do you think there is a way to integrate their database within my own website design?
If this is not possible, should I ditch this 'tool' and go for options I have seen online such as PHP and MySQL or Access? I have also heard of the bundle MAMP. Do I need to install this?
Thanks a bundle!

The inbuild database features from DW are not easy to configure if you don't use a local config.
start with beginners tutorials about php/mysql from the net (there are so many, just google)

Found this site, http://www.phpsimple.net which looks pretty good. Using PHP to call data from a MySQL database is much easier than it sounds, and learning can take a week maximum to get your head around it. Good luck

Hi all I need to build an Access database for work. I have used it before and know the basics but cannot get my head around linking forms.

I would definetly recommend using php and mysql alongside a free search script which you can easily find online.
