Ways to get high PR backlinks.

We always search for good quality backlinks and if they have some high PR then that is really some icing on the cake.

Now i rely on do follow blog commenting, forum posting, guest blogs posts for getting relevant high PR backlinks.
What do you guys do to get such actual high PR backlinks?

The way you work is like trying to cheat the system. Well that can work for some time but as google is working its AI it is sure that in some time it will stop working.

The way you should work your link popularity is actually simple. Just create content that will be embraced by social media communities. Content that people will talk about is the content that will be linked also and the cool about it is that when you succeed in that the rest of the work is done automatically by your readers

Hey Nikolas, while I agree with you in theory, it's not always that easy. Why try hard to use "best practices" but when your competitors don't, it's tough. We do focus more on developing SERPs on longer tail / less competitive phrases. Easier to index for. And better conversions. Though ultimately we probably drive less traffic to our site.

They are also great resources to get quality backlinks from high domains.

I've been using Squidoo but haven't come to any conclusions on how much value I get out of it. Certainly isn't driving traffic. Hopefully it will provide some good backlinks if nothing else.

Here are the factors I consider to have higher chances of getting high PR:

On-Page Optimization - it deals with the proper use of meta tags, title tags, alt-tags (use to describe images), description, and keywords..

Off-Page Optimization - it deals with building links.. All of the strategies that supplies back links falls under this type..

Above all, what counts most is the content!.. They always say that content is king and I totally agree to that..

I think promoting your site on the internet - anywhere you can think of on good PR websites is a sure way to boost your own site's PR.

I assume everyone roaming here knows a lot about how to get backlinks.  There is enough discussed above by other users.

If you have lower PR than a site you want to get a link from you should offer a homepage link for a level2 link, for example.
This way you will get a very quality link from a high PR site.

 first of all I will concentrate on creating fresh, good and unique content and related keywords then promote it for a while through some of the common methods and try creating links then once it is known to few people and achieved some links the would try creating more quality backlinks by submitting it to some good RSS feed generator ...

I usually do some blog posting in high PR sites like squidoo, hubpages and many more. For that you should have good and quality content of your post.

i think forums signatures is easiest and fast way.

One thing i would suggest for you to get high PR backlinks is to of course go with sites with high PR..
You can do forum posting, social media optimization etc..

i use forum posting , press release and article submission for gating quality links

i agree on forums signatures but it would be better to find on that particular forum a high rank pages. To do that you shopuld install SeoQuake plugin for Mozilla firefox.

Use high page rank site to increase your backlinks. you will get huge page rank to the site.

I agree you need good quality content.  But the whole build it and they will come method is just wishful thinking.  Once you post new content you have got to be promoting it, otherwise it is just a beautiful piece of literature way out there in the desert, your job is to get it into the city limits.  And that involves telling everyone you can find on the net what you just wrote.  In time people will come on their own if you update on a regular basis.
